 Bend of the Lake looks like the kind of town people spend a lifetime trying to belong to: manicured lawns, quiet streets, and homes built to be seen. Underneath it, something else is running:  a marriage built on control, a business built on secrets, and a conviction built on a lie.

 This series was written to be read as one continuous story. I spent months on it, and made a deliberate choice not to publish a single installment until all three novellas, roughly 30,000 words each, were finished. No gaps, no cliffhangers left waiting on a sequel that hadn't been written yet. The full arc is here, start to finish.

 Book One: The Retribution
Clara and Cora have spent their lives as outsiders in the town they grew up in, twins who understand each other in ways no one else can reach. When Clara's marriage to the town's most admired man reveals itself as something far darker, the first cracks appear in a life that was never what it seemed.

 Book Two: Reckoning
Years of patience start to pay off. A chief of police who never closed his notebook, a prisoner who never stopped writing letters, and a case that was built to be unbreakable begin to come apart at the seams, one discovery at a time. 

Book Three: Resolution
On an island far from Bend of the Lake, old debts come due. A cold case, a retrial.

 Start with Book One. The story was written to be read in order, and it was finished before it was ever published, so once you start, there's nothing left to wait for.
